R. Stuart & Co is happy to support the McMinnville Education Foundation through it’s Stasrtty Night Auction. The auction winners of this past year’s event will enjoy a beautiful evening in the Wine Bar with R. Stuart & Co wines and a delicious meal by friend and Chef Jason Stoller Smith. To learn more about this fantastic organization, please visit their website at http://www.mac40kids.org/
Here’s a bit about the McMinnville Education Foundation:
“The McMinnville Education Foundation was created in 1998 to provide learning enrichment opportunities for students in the McMinnville School District. Located in McMinnville, Oregon, MEF is a volunteer-driven, nonprofit organization that has made its mark by funneling money directly into our children’s classrooms and promoting educational excellence for all students. The foundation has awarded over $282,000 during the past 13 years to benefit the students of School district #40.
The foundation raises grant money from parents, businesses and other interested citizens through two main fundraisers: the Fashion Show and Starry Night. Held the Saturday before Mother’s Day, the Fashion Show is a multi-generational affair where attendees enjoy a sit-down luncheon, wine, glorious raffle baskets, and fun spring fashions modeled by teachers. Starry Night, a magical gala held in the heart of Willamette Valley wine country, takes place every July with a silent and live auction, dinner, and dance.
In this era of shrinking school budgets, support from MEF is essential. We welcome donations year-round. And remember, your contribution directly impacts student learning.”

Join us and Vertical Wine and Beer Company for a night of Spanish wines! All wines will be available for pre-order and will arrive in March
A very special guest will be in McMinnville , Lucia Ramos Perez, a relative of bodegas Frontaura, a Spanish winery making wines in the Toro D.O. region of Spain (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Toro_(DO)).
BODEGA PALACIO DE LOS FRONTAURA Y VICTORIA is a family-owned winery located in the town of Villabuena del Puente, in the province of Zamora, Spain and established in 1574. The estate has 120 hectares of vines producing the native variety Tempranillo. The vineyards are pre-Phylloxera, which is very unique considering much of Europe was hit with this mean little bug in the late 1800′s that nearly ruined all of the vineyards. It is registered in the D.O. Toro, currently one of the most respected by wine critics including Robert Parker, restaurant owners, gourmets and wine enthusiasts.
Cost is $15 for 7 tastes. A spanish cheese pairing will also be available for purchase.
